Forrest House

Renewal of an existing extension to a Victorian villa providing modern day residential care accommodation for adults with cerebral palsy.

Works consisted of the replacement of a 1970’s time expired extension with seven new single occupancy bedrooms and accessible en-suite shower rooms. Each bedroom has direct access out to a paved enclosed courtyard garden. Works included a large sun room, an aromatherapy suite, an assisted bathroom, a replacement catering kitchen and redecoration of the interior. Being located in the Pollokshields Conservation Area quality materials of zinc and natural stone were selected for external finishes.

A second phase of works to provide a respite room with accessible shower room was carried out in 2015.
